Zombie anime! Everyone loves zombie anime.
She's not a zombie... yet.
Our main character Chihiro Furuya is a zombie maniac. In fact, he even claims that he doesn’t like normal girls, but only zombie girls. One day, though, his cat got run over by a car and died.
Babu T_T
It was at this point that Furuya decides to use an old notebook he found detailing steps on how to do revival magic. And so he tries to turn Babu into a zombie cat.
Looks old and legit.
Well, he doesn’t exactly succeed, since there’s a page that’s unreadable already. So night after night he tries different poisonous plants (the page only manages to mention a poisonous plant but doesn’t exactly say which) in an abandoned buliding, all to no avail. But lo and behold, one night a girl walks into the abandoned building, shouting out unto the well all her issues in life.
Sanka Rea
As it turns out, she is Sanka Rea, the daughter to a prominent and wealthy family. Furuya at first merely observes her wailing from afar, but one day he blows his cover and the two come face to face to each other.
Well, face to face sort of...
One thing led to another, and they become friends to a certain extent and Rea decides to help out Furuya in his quest to resurrect Babu. She leaves saying that she’ll meet him again the next day.
To complicate things though, seems like Furuya has a cousin who’s also interested in him…
Well, in Japan cousins are ok so I heard.
That’s pretty much the episode. It’s slow and steady, setting up the plot elements needed for the actual launch of the plot which I guess will happen in the next episode. Some might complain that there’s nothing much that happened, but I kind of like the deliberate pace to flesh out stuff. I already know what will happen in the next few episode if they stay true to the manga, but I’d say there’s enough plot to keep me happy. Also, Rea is moe.
