Just one Megatrade Hall? You know it’s gonna be jam-packed ^_^”

True enough, it was jam-packed.

Day 1: (Pictures) (Videos)

Yep, the place wasn’t really as comfortable as it could have been, but at least it wasn’t hell *cough* A-Venue *cough*. The number of people kind of peaked at around 3-4, after which the place wasn’t very “fresh” anymore. But hey, it’s tolerable.

There wasn’t much options, though, when it came to the shops, as the merchandises seemed to be quite limited. They’re pretty much the same old stuff. But I finally bought a non-bootleg stuff, so I’m all smiles :D Not the Saber Lily though… That’s out of stock >_<

There’s a maid cafe this time around, but the line there almost never runs out hehe. Supposedly Alodia will be a special guest there tomorrow afternoon, so I guess there’s your chance to have her act as you maid? Well, for whatever that’s worth anyway.

But truth be told, I didn’t really see anything new this time around. Where’s the innovative spirit? I guess this is the reason most people go to these events for the cosplayers ^_^” Baby steps. We’ll eventually get there to the point where conventions isn’t just about cosplay… and bootleg merchandise XD

Special mention for the day:

- Special thanks to PMAGS and Bug John, who took most of the shots.

- Lolz at Yakult drinking contest XD So will you get a tummy ache or not?

- Hey! I recognize these two! They’re the K-ON cosplayers from before. But I don’t recognize the characters right now… Maybe Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars)?

- Lots of large swords in this con… Over-compensation? LOL

- Fail hair. Archer does not have blue hair. Too bad, since it was a good cosplay otherwise…

- Accuracy + cuteness = WIN. No, I’m not a lolicon.

- I saw a few cosplayers with oversized costumes… I guess that’s marginally better than people bursting from their costumes…

- Something about giant groups pulling off a massive cosplay with a single theme that warms my heart. I salute you, Vocaloids cosplayers.

- Apparently cvhaoson (who was there to cover the event for Luna Online, why don’t I have connections like he does? XD) and I have a common friend who cosplays regularly. Who would have known? Let’s the crack the whip on his interview…

- I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy passes out after everything…

- The Shuffle cosplayer was a hit. I’m not really sure if she’s the same cosplayer as the one who went as CC before.

- There’s two cosplay I want to eventually see: Tsukiumi, in all her glory, and Saber, with all her equipments. It won’t happen though.

- A shop was giving The World God Only Knows some credit. Read that Manga, it’s freakin’ great. It’s gold.

Let’s see what’s in store for day two ^_^

Day 2: (Pictures) (Pictures)

Everything increased this day. There were more people, more cosplayers, more events, more games, more freebies, more stress, more heat. more eye candy etc etc. The only thing that lessened was the number of my companions >_<

cvhaoson finally got on stage to promote his blogs and all that stuff. He was amusing to watch, well at least for me ^_^ I recorded his ordeal, but I ended up with a 450 MB video for a 3 minute clip. Since I don’t know crap about video editing, I’ll find a way first on how to upload it.

By the way, he did mention this blog… LOL… among others…

I ended up camping early near the stage to get myself a good spot for the cosplay competition. I camped as early as 2:30, since cvhaoson was supposed to go on stage around 3. And so I stayed there since, because giving up a prime spot is stupid.

But lo and behold, the batteries to my camera ran out. GOD DAMN IT! And just before the really good and really hot cosplayers took the stage. GOD DAMN IT! I’m freakin’ full of camera fail. I blame this on having to take that damned 450 MB video >_<

I really need to look for someone who has a REAL camera with REAL photo-capturing skills. Let’s face the facts, who am I kidding with my shots??

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE LINK ME TO A VIDEO OR PICTURES OF THE COSPLAYER WHO DID KELLY FROM BUST-A-GROOVE 2!!! That’s the one whom I didn’t get a picture of even though I really want to. Damn batteries >_<

Anyway, notable mentions to the following:

- The first decent cosplayer who came were the Ga-Rei Zero cosplayer. Too bad one of them didn’t cary a weapon…

- I just love it when relatively unknown titles which are really good gets credit.

- The first band who performed was actually good. I just felt that their rendition of “Please Don’t Say Lazy” was half a beat to slow.

- Damn that Yakult drinking contest. The Yakult was spraying all over the place and to the audience >_< Eww… Look carefully and you’ll see the spray.

- Lolz at the male Echo (Pandora Hearts) cosplayer. I sort of knew he was a guy since he was desperately trying to cover his face with his sleeves. But when he spoke on the mic… oh boy, the crowd went ballistic.

- There were two cosplayers for which the crows went absolutely gaga for. The crowd even demanded them to come back up the stage even after their catwalk, and deservedly so. One was the Kelly (Bust-a-Groove 2) cosplayer, who did a hot dance number (video anyone?). The other was the Skuld (Ah My Goddess) cosplayer. Not the child version…

- Damn it. Don’t get a special guest who has no knowledge of Anime and the likes. I mean he was juts making a fool of himself. And for crying out loud, you’re trying to sell urban music to a bunch of otakus? Really now…

- Got home depressed because of my epic fail job… Oh well…
